Sport Works is to run its first Nu Futures programmes in Sheffield between September and November 2019.
Referrals are being sought for the course, which is part of the ESF Pathways behavioural change provision.
The behavioural change course combines classroom-based employability training and confidence-building with light exercise and group activity in a gym or leisure centre setting.
Course dates
Nu Futures courses will take place as follows:
Nu Futures 1 – Zest – Shipton Street, Sheffield, S6 3FJ
9:30 am – 2:30 pm Thursdays and Fridays starting on Thursday 19 September and finishing on Friday 8 November 2019
Nu Futures 2 – Sheffield Futures – Star House, 43 Division Street, Sheffield, S1 4GE
9:30 am – 2:30 pm Mondays and Tuesdays starting on Monday 23 September and finishing on Tuesday 12 November 2019
Who the programme is for
Nu Futures is designed for individuals who are unemployed and/or economically-inactive and can benefit from a boost to their physical and/or mental health through exercise.
Learners must be enrolled on the ESF Pathways employment support programme, or eligible to join the ESF pathways programme (entitled to work in the UK, unemployed and not already receiving European Social Fund support).
