As part of our drive to create a network of opportunity through increased learning and improved engagement IEP are announcing an exclusive offer for IEP Members to undertake our Accredited Learning Programme to support Over 50’s job seekers.
The Over 50’s employability support programme, created in partnership with Centre for Ageing Better and supported by Ingeus, is available in the accounts of all current learners on our IEP LMS platform and can be accessed immediately.
The programme comprises four modules:
• Understanding over 50s and employment;
• Skills support for over 50s;
• Over 50s and employers;
• Over 50s common challenges.
Covering issues from health conditions to caring responsibilities, the modules provide employability practitioners with a strong understanding of the barriers that people over the age of 50 can face in getting into work, and the tools available to help individuals overcome them.
Scott Parkin FIEP, Chief Executive of Institute of Employability Professionals, said:
“We are delighted to be able to provide this new learning to our Members. Together with our partners, Centre for Ageing Better and Ingeus, we have created a programme that will make a real difference in ensuring over 50s get the right support to get back to work as quickly as possible in the wake of the pandemic. We at the IEP are proud to be developing new learning opportunities that support practitioners to do their job better and benefit from continued professional development. This is the first in a series of new learning modules that we are developing with our partners at 2SimplyLearn which are focused on supporting practitioners to understand both the synergies and differences between various participant groups.”
