Employment is for Everyone had partnered with GXO, the world’s largest logistics provider to host an employability day on Wednesday 14 June from 10am-12pm at its local Barnsley site (Park Springs Road, S72 7GX).
The site currently employs approx. 4,500 people from all around the area, but are ever growing and now looking to employ a range of people in many different roles. GXO want to be inclusive with this recruitment and give autistic people and people with learning disabilities equal opportunities to apply for these positions, so have tasked us with helping them find some of the most passionate, hardworking, amazing individuals in South Yorkshire.
These sessions we are putting on are about giving people with learning disabilities and autistic people a chance to learn more about the company and what they do, how they work, the roles they have available and what the recruitment process may look like for people still interested. The purpose of this visit is to make people feel a lot more comfortable in applying as it can be daunting for anyone, including someone with a disability to apply somewhere when they don’t have much knowledge of the role, environment, people, location etc…
