South Yorkshire Police is recruiting for the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA), Degree Holder Entry Programme (DHEP) and staff roles.
This event is ideal for anyone who’s ever considered a career in uniform or joining the SYP family in a staff role.
The event will take place on Wednesday 21 June from 6:00pm-8:00pm, and will be held at Robert Dyson House, 5 Golden Smithies Lane, Wath Upon Dearne, S63 7EF.
Attendees will hear an opening presentation from the Assistant Chief Constable (Dan Thorpe) followed by brief from Talent Acquisition Business Partner (Claire Humphries) on entry routes, eligibility criteria and assessment methods.
After the presentation candidates will be able to take a tour of the training school and are invited to circulate chatting to facilitators:
- Central Assessment and Practice Educator Team
- Operational Police Training
- Sheffield Hallam University
- Chief Inspector Emma Cheney, Firearms Support Unit
- Tactical Specialists including Roads, Bikes, Public Support, Drones
- Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs)
- Neighbourhoods Policing Team
- Force Control Room, Atlas Court
- Force Wellbeing Lead
- Talent Acquisition team
- Positive Action, Inspector Shakeel Ahmed
Students gaining 80 UCAS points this summer are eligible to apply to this PCDA advert.
Candidates holding a degree in any subject can apply to the DHEP.
Job opportunities at the Force Control Room will be advertised in June.
The canteen will be open for purchased refreshments 5:30pm – 8:00pm
