SCC Routes into Employment traineeship to begin on Mon 24 July

Sheffield City Council is launching a Routes into Employment traineeship, beginning on Monday 24 July.

The programme is aimed at anybody aimed 16-18 and looking to move into work. The traineeship offers employment links into engineering, construction and a variety of other sectors.

The traineeship will last for 6 weeks and will consist of:

  • 2 weeks (3 days a week) undertaking training to prepare for work and match with vacancies
  • 5 weeks (5 days a week) undertaking a work placement that may lead to employment
  • Level 1 Health and Safety and preparation to undertake a CSCS test
  • Bus passes are provided throughout
