The Sector Routeways programme has added a new Rail Track routeway.
Sector Routeways Rail Track Maintenance aims to train local people to gain skills, undertake work experience and enter sustained employment.
The routeway will cover:
- Personal track safety
- DC conductor rails
- overhead lines
- Track inducton
- Manual Handling
- Medical information, including drugs and alcohol testing
- Fire awareness
- Health and safety & risk management
The course will also include support with employability skills including preparing a CV and preparing for interviews.
The course will take place over the course of 3 weeks, from 9:30am – 3:30pm, and will be followed by a 2 week sector placement and guaranteed interviews with employers.
