Reed in Partnership to deliver DWP funded employability programme

Reed in Partnership has been awarded a contract to deliver an employability programme on behalf of Department for Work and Pensions.

This is a 65 week programme, titled WHP Pioneer, aims to provide 1:1 support for individuals seeking work. This may include things such as supported job searches, health and wellbeing workshops, external provision, training and upskilling and providing work/PPE clothing. The goal of the programme is to move individuals into sustainable employment.

To be eligible for the programme, participants must

  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
  • Not be in any form of employment (Including zero hours contracts)
  • Not have attended a “Work & Health Programme” in the past or be currently attending one
  • Not claiming Job Seekers Allowance (JSA) or Universal credit intensive work search (UC IWS)

AND

  • Have a health condition or disability / Mental Health issues (this could also be something such as “anxiety” or “stressed every day”)

Alternatively, clients may not meet the above criteria but may still be able to access support if they fall into any of the following categories:

  • Ex offender or offender
  • Carer or ex carer
  • Homeless person
  • Former member of HM Armed Forces or HM Armed Forces Reserves
  • Partner of current or former HM Armed Forces
  • Care leaver
  • Refugee
  • Young person identified of being at risk of being involved in gangs or serious violence
  • Victim of domestic abuse
  • Afghan resettlers
  • Ukrainian Evacuees
