Get Started in Music Production is a free programme, starting with a taster day on Tuesday 9 April. The course itself will run from Monday 15 to Friday 19 April 2024.
The course, created by Prince’s Trust and RiteTrax, will take place at Plot 22, Exchange Street. The programme is for anyone aged 16-25, interested in all things music.
It will allow young people to learn from industry experts, get invaluable experience and a taste of what it’s like to work in music production.
On this course you will:
- Work with a variety of instruments and learn to use music software
- Learn about songwriting, recording and mixing, as well as DJing
- Discover how to promote yourself as a musical artist
