What is LEVEL UP?
Providing free support to young people aged 19-24 in Sheffield who are looking to gain skills and confidence for their next steps. PET-Xi also offers tailored individual support to care leavers to promote positive wellbeing and build momentum in your transition to independence.
Vocational certificates
Learners who are ready to engage can choose from 1, 2 or 3 short courses in Customer Service, Team Leading and/or IT User Skills Level 2 to enhance their CV and transferrable skills for the workplace. No tests or exams. All LEVEL UP learners will work through Personal development skills at a pace which works for them if not already completed. This support in ongoing and flexible.
Progression support – bespoke mentoring
Level 2 learners will receive bespoke support throughout to enhance employment opportunities, building core skills to support their transition with 1:1 mentoring to support learners from start to finish on their journey with PET-Xi. Learners will gain essential, transferrable skills alongside bespoke and flexible mentoring to support in their personal development. Learners can choose from the below:
- Confidence, wellbeing, resilience, mindset & motivation, teamwork and communication
- Developing a routine, time & budget management and journey planning
- Work exploration, CV and live application support, preparing for interview and beyond
- Employer expectations, understanding Sheffield labour market & getting work ready
