Department For Education creates Multiply discussion forums for providers

Department for Education has created discussion forums to support providers with the Multiply programme.

The purpose of the forums is to generate conversations between providers, where they can share best practice and find solutions to current challenges. The forums will be structured to encourage providers to reflect on their practice so far, and consider the continuity of delivery past the programme end date.

Each forum is for specific allocated stakeholder groups that are delivering the Multiply Programme. The dates and times for the forums are:

  • Educational Institutions – Tuesday 30 April, 10am – 11:30am
  • Local Authorities/Combined Authorities – Tuesday 14 May, 3pm – 4:30
  • Voluntary and Community Organisations – Thursday 6 June, 3pm – 4:30
  • Employers – Tuesday 18 June, 10am – 11:30am

To sign up to a forum, please click here.

A new webinar has been added to the series, taking place on Tuesday 2 July, 10:30 – 11.45am – Working with Jobcentre Plus on Multiply.

To book this session, please create an account on their booking system here.

Resources

As part of the programme, the Multiply team will be creating resources that aim to share best practice examples and top tips for overcoming challenges throughout the programme. The resource content is related to each themed webinar within the series.

You can find the top tips resource for the engaging hard to reach learners webinar on the Association of Colleges website.

Missed any of the previous webinars? Don’t worry, you can find the webinar recording and slides here.

Multiply

Multiply is a fully funded government scheme that offers maths courses to adults aged 19 and over.

The course aims to boost numeracy skills in work and daily life. They range from drop-in sessions to longer intensive courses.

You can work with local authorities or providers to design numeracy courses that are specific and relevant to your business.

Multiply will be available until the end of March 2025.
