Sector Routeways: Hospitality course starts November

Opportunity Sheffield’s next Sector Routeways: Hospitality course, in partnership with Springboard training, starts on Monday 18 November.

Start date: Monday 18 November 2024

Time: 9:30am – 4pm

Venue: Sheffield Wednesday Football Club, Hillsborough Stadium, Sheffield, S6 1SW

Course length: 10 days of training

The training includes:

  • Accredited Hospitality related qualifications
  • Employability skills workshops
  • Hospitality practical skills
  • Employer visits and tasters
  • 121 mentoring and coaching

Qualifications participants will gain:

  • BIIAB Award in Responsible Alcohol retailing
  • BIIAB Award in Food Safety in catering
  • World Host: Principles of Customer Service

Eligibility:

To be eligible for the course, participants need to be aged 16+, live in South Yorkshire, be unemployed, not in full-time education, and have the right to work in the UK. They will need: 

  • Their National Insurance Number
  • ID – Passport, NI letter, Birth Certificate or Biometric Residence Permit
  • Phone login to your Universal Credit account or a recent UC letter
  • If not on benefits, their proof of right to work – residence card/sharecode 

A high percentage of participants who take the course go on to secure sustainable work.

There will be an information and registration session at Moorfoot, Sheffield, S1 4PL on Monday 4 November.
