Job Vacancy: Wybourn Works – Youth Engagement & Employability Coach

Wybourn Works is recruiting for a Youth Engagement and Employability Coach to work on its new Jobs Plus Project.

Jobs Plus is a pilot project funded by Youth Futures and Department for Work & Pensions to saturate a small area of Sheffield with projects and programmes of activity, focusing on community led delivery.

The Jobs plus youth worker will assist in the delivery of the Jobs Plus project on Wybourn in Sheffield, implementing and promoting the programme of activities to local residents and engaging local young people. The youth worker will also support young people into volunteering, employment and training.

What you’ll need

  • Experience of working with young people
  • Experience of supporting young people into volunteering, training and employment
  • Experience of working in a customer focused environment, with proven ability of delivering a high standard of customer service
  • Able to use Microsoft Office applications and a variety of IT systems as part of daily role
  • Great people skills
  • Self-reliant and resilient
  • Commitment to work in partnership with others for the benefit of great places and Jobs Plus.

All successful applicant(s) will be subject to an enhanced criminal records background check (Child and Adult Workforce, Child Barred List). 

Salary: £30,500 p/a (12 months Fixed Terms Contract)
