In this rewarding role, you will provide one-to-one employment support, advice, and guidance to young people aged 16–25 who are not in education, employment, or training (NEET), or who are economically inactive. Your focus will be on helping participants remove barriers, build confidence, and progress into sustainable employment or education opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Attract, recruit and retain clients into the programme.
- Deliver tailored 1:1 employability and wellbeing support to young people aged 16–25.
- Develop personalised action plans to help each participant achieve their goals.
- Build positive relationships with hard-to-reach individuals, inspiring trust and motivation.
- Support participants to access training, work placements, or employment opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress using online platforms and MIS systems.
- Work to meet performance and outcome targets set by the contract.
Working Approach
As the sole delivery Keyworker for this project, you will be comfortable managing your own workload and using your initiative to drive progress. You will balance working independently with being part of a wider supportive team, contributing to shared goals and communicating effectively with colleagues across Progress Careers and Opportunity Sheffield network.
About You
You’ll be a compassionate and proactive professional with a background in supporting individuals into employment, training, or personal development. You’ll bring experience of working with young people and those facing barriers to engagement.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in providing 1:1 advice and guidance to young people (ideally with IAG qualifications).
- Skilled in engaging hard-to-reach individuals.
- Self-motivated, well-organised, and able to manage a busy caseload.
- Confident in using online systems and maintaining accurate records.
Why Join Us
As part of Progress Careers and the wider Progress Group, you’ll be valued for your contribution and supported to succeed. You’ll join a passionate team committed to making a lasting difference in the lives of young people across Sheffield.
