Motion, a social enterprise which works to improve the physical, mental and emotional health and well-being of the elderly through exercise, has increased capacity for referrals to its placement programme.
The Placement Programme, is an 8-week programme (excluding training) that Motion delivers to those who are in need of flexible, supported and meaning employment. The aim is to empower participants, providing them will employable skills during their time as a Motion Motivator.
Upon completion of the 8-week placement, providing both parties agree, the participant will be offered the opportunity to become a qualified Motion Instructor. This will start with a 4-week long shadowing period during which the participant will work closely with qualified instructors.
After successful completion, Motion will pay and organise for the participant
to gain a YMCA level 2 qualification in delivering chair-based exercises and become a
qualified Motion Instructor. At this point, Motion will pay the participant £7.50/hr.
