Job vacancy: Lead Detached Youth Worker (Aspiring Communities Together)

A Lead Detached Youth Worker – 11hrs per week @ £14phr

5hrs of which are detached youth work and 6hrs supervision time

The posts will require non-negotiable evening work.

The post is on a two year fixed term contract and is renewable annually subject to funding being renewed

If you are passionate about young people and listening to their loves, hopes and concerns and want the community to be a better place to live and are able to challenge your own and others’ attitudes and assumptions, then this is the role for you.

The successful candidates will be dynamic, respectful and be willing to train and work differently to support positive change in individuals, communities and institutions.

The position requires:

  • experience in working with hard to reach young people aged 13 -18 years
  • experience of street based youth work
  • experience of community engagement
