In the light of COVID-19, and the desire to protect and support staff, volunteers and clients, Citizens Advice Sheffield is moving to a telephone and digital service only from Wednesday 18 March.
All face to face provision will be suspended Citizens Advice offices across the city will be closed.
Over the next couple of days, all or the majority of staff will have been enabled to work from home. Once this transition has taken place, the service will be offering:
- a fully staffed advice line (running 10am – 4pm)
- Universal Credit Help to Claim service (running 8am – 6pm)
- Consumer Advice Service (running 9am – 5pm)
- Specialist telephone appointments in respect of immigration, employment, housing, welfare benefits and debt. Advisers will have access language line to overcome language barriers and will offer Skype advice to our Deaf community
