The Source – News Update

We understand what a challenging time this is for everyone and we want to wish
our learners, partners and colleagues well, we hope you are all staying safe and
healthy.

Although our office is temporarily closed, The Source definitely isn’t! We are
keeping in regular contact with our learners and supporting them with their
learning and their qualifications. We are also updating our vacancies forum and
helping learners with CVs, interviews and job applications.

We are continuing to recruit for our Steps to Work programme, and although
our tutors are working from home, we are able to make the most of online
learning, including Google Classroom and other online platforms, but we are
also staying in contact by telephone, email and text. We are only a phone call
away.

Steps to Work is an ideal programme for anyone unemployed and not in training,
anyone who wants to improve their skills and qualifications, get support with
job search and interview skills and much more. We have qualifications at Level
1 and Level 2 and our experienced and qualified tutors will support learners
every step of the way (see below for a list).

We remain committed to our learners; their welfare is important to us. Here are
some useful links to help at this time:

Despite this being such a worrying and anxious time, we have been so impressed
with our learners, in particular their motivation and enthusiasm which has kept
them engaged in their learning as they continue to plan for their futures. We are
also grateful to our partners and colleagues who have continued to work in their
clients’ best interests and refer learners to us. With such resilience, we know
that we will reunite stronger!

Thank you to all our learners, partners and colleagues. Take care, keep well and
we look forward to seeing you soon.

Helen and everyone in the Community and Employability Team
