Sport Works model – health & wellbeing in the community

How can Sport Works help your organisation?

The Sport Works model explains how we can work with your organisation to deliver health and welbeing programmes in the community.

It involves aspects of evaluating local needs, co-design, targeted activity, education and evaluation.

Sport Works has recently delivered its Nu Futures programme to unemployed and economically inactive people in Sheffield as part of Opportunity Sheffield’s ESF Pathways Behavioural Change Programme.

As part of its broader suite of activity, the provider delivers a range of programmes that support people who are struggling to find work or move into further education.

Programmes are designed to not only build technical skills, such as searching for employment and CV writing, but address many of the barriers that traditional hold people back.  Health-based modules are used to build self-esteem, confidence and other key life skills to help participants on a positive pathway.

Sport Works’ range of skills and employability programmes includes:

  • Adult employability programmes
  • Traineeships
  • Study Programmes
  • Transitional Pre-NEET programmes
