Just a quick update from us at Sheffield Academy – People Plus following the announcement on Monday night.
Our centre is closed for classroom learning but we are still open and offering online learning. Learners will have access to a tutor throughout their course, as they would if it was classroom based. Learners need to have access to a laptop/tablet and internet access at home. I know some learners do not have access to laptops/internet and only have smart phones – for these learners I will book in IAG Sessions when we are back in centre as we cannot offer work books and working from a smart phone has proven difficult for learners in the past.
IAG Sessions will still be taking place – just online. The learners will be sent their BKSB Initial assessments to complete at home and then given a start date to start their online learning. All learning is still taking place in cohorts. For any referrals please contact me on 0114 2894861 or drop me an email – business as usual 😊
For FLT, CSCS & SIA courses:
The first 10 days will be done as online training. Once the learners have fully completed this, they will be able to undertake practical training. FLT & SIA training courses are still allowed to be delivered face to face.
