Remit Group is running a House Build Operative & Construction Cleaners Traineeship in Sheffield, with places for 12 learners.
The eight-week course has a provisional start date of Monday 17 May.
This Traineeship is part of an education and training programme that is focused on giving young people the skills and experience that employers are looking for. At its core is the work preparation training, customer service qualification, English, maths, and essential digital skills for those who need it, and a high-quality work experience placement.

Are you eligible?
- Are you currently not in a job? Do you have little or no work experience in the sector you are apply for?
- Are you aged 19 to 24 and qualified below Level 4?
The work experience placement is for 3 weeks, (25 hours a week) and will conclude with a guaranteed interview or feedback session where you will be considered for the live roles available.
Examples of tasks that will be completed during the Traineeship work experience placement include:
End of build cleans, snagging, cladding cleans and de-taping to various construction projects including but not limited to; new build housing developments, multi storey apartment blocks, schools, shop extensions, warehouses, pubs and restaurants, vehicle showrooms, student accommodation, assisted living and care homes.
While on the traineeship work experience placement you will receive a weekly travel allowance. Your mentor will arrange pick up from a central location each day of work experience placement. On completion you will be interviewed by the employer for live vacancies. The salary for these vacancies is £12p/h.
As this is a programme entry level role, we do not have any pre-requisitions for skills, experience or qualifications. We expect the individual to be motivated, with a can-do attitude and good timekeeping.

What this will lead to
After successful completion of the traineeship, you will receive a certificate of completion and a reference as a minimum, to support future job applications.
After successful completion of the traineeship the candidate will be given an interview with the employer and may convert to apprenticeship or permanent position if successful in completion of programme and vacancy available.
This is not guaranteed but will be dependent on your performance during the traineeship.
