The Oratory Studio’s next in-person workshop is on 4th Floor, Sheffield Hallam University, Charles Street on Tuesday 21 April 2026, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
Do you want to speak up at work with more confidence? To lead with more presence? Or to handle moments of pressure with clarity, poise and authority?
The Oratory Studio can help you build the kind of speaking confidence required for all the above, and more.
The event will focus on three areas:
#1 – Prepared talks with feedback
We have two prepared talks, and then some of you will have the opportunity to provide useful, structured feedback on the content, presence and delivery of our speakers.
#2 – Impromptu activity
We will engage our heads in a fun, impromptu activity designed to test our thinking on the spot, and keeping calm and clear under pressure.
#3 – Networking
We will dive into the world of networking – we never practice it, and that’s why it often falls a bit short. Here, we will practice how to genuinely connect with each other, and thus how to become memorable – because that is the key to networking success.
All of this will be alongside the usual good vibes, fun discussions and quality refreshments.
The cost of these workshops is:
- £25 for each session, pay as you go
- £20 for each session on monthly subscription
- Free with special invitational guest places (extremely limited – so watch out for these).
