SCC diversity recruitment pilot; community provider briefing events in Sept

In late September, Sheffield City Council’s (SCC) Opportunity Sheffield service (Employment & Skills) will be running a pilot project aimed at attracting a greater diversity of people into SCC roles.

The Council’s new leadership is passionate about making the SCC workforce more representative of the communities it serves and is trialling a short programme to encourage residents from BAME communities to take up jobs within SCC.

The programme will see one week of training around the skills, knowledge, behaviours and values of SCC followed by a short series of work experience opportunities in roles ringfenced for this project.
