HEPP event: How can I support my child through their Higher Education application? (Thu 7 Oct)

Written by the Higher Education Progression Partnership South Yorkshire

HEPP South Yorkshire is organising an event on Thursday 7 October with the theme ‘How can I support my child through their Higher Education application?’

What does this session cover?

Join us for this 30 minute information session where you’ll hear how and where students apply for HE courses, and how you can support them as a parent or carer.

You’ll hear from parent ambassadors and student ambassadors on their experience and they will share their hints and tips.

There will also be an opportunity to ask any questions.

Who are Hepp?

Hepp are an impartial organisation working across the Sheffield City Region to encourage more children, young people and adults to consider higher education opportunities.

What other events can I attend?

We will be running 4 virtual events through the year for parents and carers:

• How can I support my child through their Higher Education application? (07/10/21)

• What are the benefits of Higher Education and how can I support my child get there? (13/01/22)

• What financial support is available to my child? (28/04/22)

• What are open days and clearing and why are they important for my child? (07/07/22)

They’re free and all parents and carers are welcome, whatever age your child is.

A link to the virtual event will be sent nearer to the event.
