Sheffield City Council’s Family, Adult and Community Education Service (FACES) is seeking to hire a qualified Tutor.
The service works to give adults in Sheffield the chance to gain skills, knowledge and opportunities to enhance their career prospects and achieve their learning goals.
The ideal candidate will have experience of delivering digital subjects, with a particular focus on a pathway to the Essential Digital Skills qualification. They will also work with other Tutors across different curriculum to embed the importance of digital and technology skills which support life in the 21st Century as well as the functionality to develop key employability skills.
FACES is looking for an innovative, self-motivated individual who can inspire and encourage adult learners to engage in learning, develop confidence, and ultimately to achieve accredited qualifications in a community setting in and around Sheffield.
Candidates will have an adult teaching qualification, a specialism for the role (or working towards), and a desire to help adults improve their life opportunities. You will be able to develop a range of online learning approaches using learner friendly platforms such as Google Classroom and Zoom, as well as working at different sites across Sheffield. An ability to demonstrate an excellent track record of high teaching standards is essential and delivery in a community environment would be an advantage.
This is a full-time, term-time only role but job share will be considered for anyone wishing to work less hours.
