Contract Type: Fixed term until December 2023

Hours Per Week: 37

Social value is a rapidly developing approach to addressing societal challenges and aiming to create flourishing and sustainable communities and places. The Opportunity Sheffield Team are seeking to recruit an experienced Social Value Manager as the Council implements its new Social Value Policy.  Sheffield City Council has included Social Value using its procurement and planning powers for over 10 years, particularly to gain Employment and Skills outcomes for people in Sheffield.  We are seeking to expand this work to gain wider benefits, including helping us on our journey towards carbon net zero. The role will involve working across portfolios within the council including procurement and planning to advise on benchmarks, score social value applications, facilitate their delivery and report outcomes.
