South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue, with South Yorkshire Police, Barnsley College and the Prince’s Trust, is recruiting for the next Sheffield Team programme based at Parkway starting Tuesday 3 May. This 12-week course is open to 16-25 year olds.

So far, 31 programmes have been delivered from Sheffield, Barnsley and Dearne to nearly 300 participants.
The young people will get involved in team building activities, a community project and two-weeks of work experience during the course.
The Prince’s Trust claims to also give advice on employability, as well providing nationally recognised qualifications including:
- Level 2 HABC Food Hygiene
- John Muir Discovery Award
- First Aid
- Level 2 HABC Working Safely
- Prince’s Trust Qualification in Employment, Teamwork and Community.
The Prince’s Trust also claims to provide enrichment sessions on:
- Dementia awareness
- Drug awareness
- Internet security
- Drive for life
- Nourishment and nutrition
- Sexual health.
