Salary: NJC Scale 5 SCP 12-17 (£22,571 to £24,920) Pro Rata to 30 hours (£18,300 to £20,205)
Location: The Tassibee Centre, Rotherham 
Hours and Working Pattern: 30 hours per week starting at £18,300 actual salary.

Term of Employment: 2 years subject to funding

About Tassibee 

Tassibee started in 1993 as a volunteer-led support group for isolated and socially excluded Asian women in the Rotherham, South Yorkshire area.  

Over the last 28 years, we have developed into a locally respected organisation that delivers a wide range of successful and innovative training, which focuses on empowering women and enabling positive change. We provide a supportive and culturally competent atmosphere that encourages the progression of work and learning opportunities.  

To support the development and delivery of the Tassibee Project. This challenging position will suit a driven organised individual who is a great communicator and a natural problem solver.  

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 


  • Working closely with the Chief Executive to assist in overlooking the day to day running of classes, projects and the office run smoothly. Including helping with plans, documents, meetings, attracting contributors, marketing and tracking progress
  • Facilitating team meeting and project sessions 
  • Identify & facilitate appropriate training opportunities to access training 
  • Work with groups of women and individuals to enable them to develop and celebrate their own potential
  • To develop a multi-agency approach with other organisations and agencies and work collaboratively with them
  • To identify gaps in current service provision aimed at women’s employability and engagement
  • Delegating work to staff and managing their workload and output
  • Use a range of Microsoft Office software including email, spreadsheets, and databases. 
  • Managing filing system and evidence files and develop/implement new administrative systems, such as records management
  • To assist with recruitment, selection and supervising of staff and outreach workers 
  • Promoting staff development and training. 
  • To prepare reports & monitoring statements for the Management Committee & Senior management. 
  •   To assist with identifying sources of funding and preparing applications for funding. and establishing links with funding organisations where appropriate

The Right Person? 

You will need the energy to drive not only the team but co-deliver sessions in the community to different groups and their projects. 

Be flexible, have ability to learn new skills and having good attention to detail when monitoring and evaluating projects and meeting deadlines will be important.  

You will be required to hold a full driving license as the position involves some evening and occasional weekend work. The post will also be subject to a Basic DBS check. 

Person Specification

QualificationsEducated to GCSE level or equivalent, including Maths & EnglishHigher level of qualification in relevant discipline e.g A level/Degree/BTEB
Experience2 years’ experience of working in an office environment or organisation. Dealing with members of the public and/or service users   2 years’ experience working with volunteers and working on project within an organisationExperience of working in the voluntary and community sector
Skill & KnowledgeA good understanding of diverse people and the challenges that can arise.   Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate appropriately with a range of people Accurate recording and report writing skills   Computer literate including ability to use Microsoft Office.Ability to communicate in a community language spoken by our service users     An understanding of GDPR and the need to adhere to confidentiality policies and procedures
PersonalAbility to work effectively as part of a team and independently, as needed   Ability to organise and prioritise own workload, including being able to reprioritise at short notice, as needed   A flexible attitude to work and a willingness to work occasional evening and weekends, if requiredHave a driving licence with regular access to a car and full business insurance.
