Jobcentre Plus has a range of sector-based work academy programme (SWAP) opportunities for the unemployed, helping to prepare people who are receiving benefits to apply for jobs in a different area of work that they may have previously been doing.
ITS Group SIA
The IAG will be on Wednesday 16/11/22 at Victoria Hall .
The course will run from Monday 21 November to 16 December and will also be held at Victoria Hall, Norfolk Street, Sheffield, S1 2JB (next to Chapel Walk, opposite the side of The Crucible).
Guaranteed Job Interviews will take place the final week of the course with Constant Security.
**SIA Security, 4-week Sector-Based Work Academy Programme training. The licence and badge are fully funded and travel expenses will be paid if needed**
This course is run by ITS and is aimed at individuals who want to work as a Security Officer, Event Steward. The course will provide you with the skills, knowledge, qualifications and SIA Licence required to enter the security sector.
The course will cover:
• Level 2 in Stewarding at events
• Level 2 in Team Leading
• Level 2 Door Supervisor Qualification
• Level 2 in Behaviour that challenges
• First Aid awareness
• Alcohol Awareness
• Substance misuse awareness
• Conflict management
• Understanding equality and diversity

• Prevent agenda
• Stress Management.
This course now also includes Mental Health Awareness.
Work Coaches – please complete the Booking Sheet form below when the customers have expressed an interest in this course. Please confirm with the customer that they are happy for their contact details (phone and e-mail) to be forwarded to The ITS Group as they will need to go through ID requirements, set up a Maths and English test and enrolment.
Please also make the customer aware that any criminal convictions will have to be declared, customers can check on the SIA website to see if their criminal record would get them an SIA Badge.

Jobs are based at Shirebrook (Mansfield) area with FREE bus to tie in with shifts. Some shifts may be available at the S4 site in Sheffield.
Various shifts, full time, part time, days, evenings, nights and overtime available. Excellent rates of pay, from £9.60 – £14.50 p/hr. Employer provides safety boots & hi-vis vest.

Springboard Hospitality SWAP
Springboard BHC SWAP 24 October to 18 November 2022
Springboard will be running a Bar, Hospitality and Catering SWAP with guaranteed interviews for various roles in these sectors.
The BHC SWAP will include 3 weeks training and work experience in week 4 which, with interviews taking place at the end of the placement.
Training will be face to face and includes a World Hosting Certificate (customer service), Personal Licence (licence to sell alcohol), Food Safety L2 and access to learning platform.
Successful job applicants may require a DBS check depending on the employer.
Candidate Requirements:
• Team player
• Genuine interest in customer service
• No qualifications but must have a good standard of English and Maths.
Please add details of interested customers to the attached booking sheet and advise them that they must attend the IAG to register for the SWAP.

**Exciting Opportunity for Young People aged 16-30 wanting to get into Retail.**
Prince’s Trust- “Get into Retail” programme with Boots Taster Day w/c 24 Oct (delivered online) Programme Start Mon 31 Oct – Fri 11 Nov.
PROGRAMME KEY DETAILS: ➢ Name of Programme: Get Into Retail with Boots ➢ Duration: 2 weeks unpaid ➢ Approach: Prince’s Trust’s involvement is virtual. Placements are in-person. TPT will do all advertising for this programme ➢ Eligibility: ➢ 16-30 year olds ➢ Unemployed or under-employed ➢ Eligible to work in the UK ➢ Willingness to learn, interest in retail, and looking for a job ➢ Shift Patterns during Programme: ➢ Proposed: Monday – Friday, 09:30am – 4:30pm (shifts confirmed at Taster Day) ➢ Lunches: Stores Team to provide a loaded store gift card for YP to purchase lunch/drinks each day using a gift card ➢ Travel expenses: Reimbursed by The Prince’s Trust ➢ Uniform: Black trousers & shoes. Boots will provide a Christmas Temp t-shirt.
OUTCOMES: ➢ Good attendance, punctual and good time-keeping ➢ Cust has demonstrated they are a hard-worker, and passionate about working for Boots and in retail. By the end of the programme, they are able to undertake tasks and interact with customers with minimal supervision. ➢ Decisions are made on observations and not an end of programme interview ➢ Outcomes available: ➢ Christmas Customer Assistant Roles ➢ Variable hours – store dependent ➢ North & Central – 7 week contract ➢ South & Scotland – 6 week contract ➢ Temporary roles but we hope this is a foot-in-the-door into Boots and into the retail sector
