Sheffield Community Youth Services is looking for your support to recruit young people with SEND aged 13 – 25 years old to be part of a brand new group ‘Sheffield Young People’s Advisory Group’ (to be renamed by young people in the future)
The group will represent the views and voices of young people with special educational needs and disabilities within the city. They will work together to share their views and experiences to help us as adults / service providers to understand more on how young people with SEND want to receive the support and services they need going forward.
Please also pass this email / flyer around your networks and any other relevant services and organisations as you see fit. If you know any young people who may be interested then please pass this information on to them.
*Please note – Before fully committing young people can attend our online information session on *Wednesday 30th November 5.30pm – 7pm – they just need to email us at youth.cabinet@sheffield.gov.uk to show their interest and we will send them the joining link and password *(parents & carers are welcome to join for the first half hour of the session then the last hour will be the young people and youth workers getting to know each other).
The majority of future sessions will be face to face at a time / day suitable to the majority of the young people who want to take part.
