Skills discussion & brunch at Advance Sheffield’s networking event

Opportunity Sheffield’s Advance team welcomed a range of employers and speakers to their Upskill Your Workforce brunch and networking event last week at Lykke at New Era Square in Sheffield.

Speakers included Fiona Duxbury from Department of Work and Pensions (Jobcentre Plus), who spoke about the support available for local workers, and Paul who delivered a positive testimonial on the Leadership & Management course he undertook through the Advance training programme.

There were also presentations from Advance Senior Project Officer Sophie Mazzola and Advancing Digital Programme Manager Robert Walker about the range of training and courses available – plus breakout and full group discussions between employers, employees and the whole Opportunity Sheffield teams about their employment and skills needs.

Tickets to the event were free and included complimentary tea, coffee, pastries and nibbles from the Lykke kitchen.

Look out for the next Upskill Your Workforce event, planned to take place in the new year. Check Opportunity Sheffield‘s social channels for future events.
