ESF Positive Change gears up for second round of pre-entry courses; referrals open for 18 projects

Opportunity Sheffield has commissioned 18 pre-engagement projects through its ESF Positive Change Programme, part-funded by the European Social Fund via the Ambition and Pathways to Success projects.

The aims of these projects are to engage with the hardest-to-reach, motivate and inspire people who are at a distance from the labour market, and to test different type

With the first round of courses now complete, providers are seeking referrals for the January to March 2023 period.

Eligibility is as follows:

  • Unemployed or economically inactive
  • 15-18 for Youth courses, 18+ for adult courses
  • Resident in Sheffield
  • Legally entitled to live and work in the UK
  • Not currently on ESF Pathways and not previously supported by the programme
