Clarion Futures Jobs and Training is delivering a free online teaching assistant course, beginning on Tuesday 17 January. The qualification is the NCFE CACHE Level 2 Award in Preparing to Work in Schools and will ready participants for further learning and training whilst developing an understanding of the teaching and learning environment in a school setting. It covers areas such as how to support the well-being of a child or young person and their development.
This qualification is aimed at a range of learners who are thinking of working in a school setting including working with young people, mature learners, learners with special educational needs or where English is an additional language.
The Level 2 Award will cover
• Understanding schools as organisations
• understanding how to keep children and young people healthy, safe and well
• understanding how to communicate with children, young people and adults.
The course will be delivered over approximately 10 weeks, made up of one morning per week and a half term break.
Clarion Futures will also provide additional support with CV building/review, interview tips to succeed at a school interview and financial support available with DBS payments.
