SAVTE is recruiting for their 1:1 Language volunteer training course as well as their Conversation Group volunteer training course.
SAVTE (Sheffield Association for the Voluntary Speaking of English) is a community organisation dedicated to supporting speakers of other languages in developing their functional English language skills. SAVTE work with a range of people from all backgrounds and across a range of communities.

Language Volunteers
SAVTE is looking for applicants to enrol on its upcoming Language Volunteer training course, starting at the end of January 2023. To apply for a place, visit bit.ly/savtevol or see the QR code on the poster below.
The 1:1 Language Volunteer Training course runs over 6 sessions, (2.5-hour training sessions in person as well as independent work at home). This course will train you to be a 1:1 language volunteer, which involves you being paired with a learner to support them face to face to develop their practical English language skills for their everyday life.
This training course takes place on Thursday 26 Jan – Thursday 30 March 2023, 9:30am – 12:00pm at SAVTE – Castle Green Community Room.

Conversation Group Volunteers
The Conversation Group Volunteer Training course runs over 5 sessions (3-hour training sessions in person as well as some time observing a conversation group). This course will train you to co-facilitate a Conversation Group together with another volunteer in a community venue.
This training course takes place on Friday 24 Feb – Friday 21 of April 2023, 9:30am – 12:30pm at SAVTE – Castle Green Community Room. To apply for a place, visit bit.ly/savtevol
