Opportunity Sheffield, the Employment and Skills Service in Sheffield City Council, will be holding it’s annual Apprenticeships: Be Inspired event on Thursday 9 March. The event will take place at Sheffield Wednesday Football Ground between 12pm – 4pm.
Apprenticeships: Be Inspired provides an opportunity for Y11, Y12 and Y13 students across Sheffield to meet real employers who are recruiting apprentices over the summer and beyond.
This is a unique opportunity for employers to meet school and sixth form leavers who want to take their first steps on to the career ladder via an apprenticeship. For the past two years, Apprenticeships: Be Inspired has taken place virtually, making 2023 the first in person Be Inspired event since before the Covid pandemic.
The 2020 Apprenticeships: Be Inspired event welcomed over 700 students from 40 secondary schools and sixth forms, as well as over 80 employers. The event resulted in the recruitment to over over 100 apprenticeships from the Year 11-13 attendees that day. Opportunity Sheffield is very excited to be able to hold this event in person once more.

From this, you will be sent a booking form to complete to secure a space at the event.
