Skills Training UK open day on Thurs 2 March

Skills Training UK is holding an Open Day on Thursday 2 March. The event will be held at Electric Works, S1 2BJ and will run from 10am till 3pm. 30-minute slots are provided to ensure staggered visits, so footfall is not too overwhelming for the young people visiting.

They will be providing information on their Study Programmes (16-18) and Traineeships (16-24) and the variety of courses they offer including Maths and English Functional Skills and GCSE’s, and the Work Experience they offer whilst on the course. Alongside this, attendees will be able to meet Skills Training’s Mentor, Poppy and the tutors, Steve, Karina, and Beth, to get an insight into the sessions that are delivered and the support that is provided. The Centre Principal, Bashir, will also be there to speak about funding or any other questions you may have.

Any interested young people are encouraged to attend to see the centre and get a feel for the provisions available, meet the team and see if they can help them sign up to a course. Alternatively, employability professionals can feel free to pop in to see if Skills Training UK courses are suitable for anyone of their caseload. Refreshments are provided and there is also access to the Electric Works slide.

If you are planning to attend, please contact Rhiannon Harris with information on what time and how many young people you are intending to bring along. You can contract Rhiannon at rhiannonharris@skillstraininguk.com
