Youth Voice & Influence Service introduce Young Trainers Programme

The Youth Voice & Influence Service at Sheffield City Council is introducing the Young Trainers Programme, part of its wider Young Ambassadors Project.

Co-designed with young people across the city, this programme focuses on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, aiming to foster connection, belonging, and stronger communities.

We’re looking for enthusiastic young people aged 14–18 to become Young Trainers. They’ll receive training and support to deliver the Young Ambassador programme in schools and youth settings, helping others explore fairness, equity, and inclusion.

The programme is designed to:

  • Train young people to recognise and challenge discrimination
  • Equip them with skills to promote equality and fairness
  • Empower them to lead and inspire others
  • Create a legacy by sharing knowledge and building inclusive communities

This is a brilliant opportunity for young people to lead, inspire, and help build inclusive communities. It offers valuable training, experience, and knowledge to support their future education, employment, and personal growth.

Whether you work in a school, youth club, or community setting, we’d love your support in promoting this programme.

Applications are open until 7 November 2025. No prior experience is needed—just a willingness to learn and share.

Young people can apply via the online Young Trainers Application form or by emailing a completed application form to youth.voice@sheffield.gov.uk
