Back2Work’s next Level 2 Contact Centre Operations programme starts on 27 April 2026. Upon the successful completion of this programme, candidates will have the opportunity to work at Vodafone Sheffield.
This programme is delivered online to mirror hybrid working practices, to support both working from home and office based roles. It will help learners develop the behaviours, digital skills, and independence needed for roles in the contact centre sector.
Learners will join sessions online via Teams interactive classroom for 24 week days, from 9am to 5pm.
Learners begin with basic digital skills, including setting up and using devices securely, managing data, and staying safe online. They then explore digital presence and security, understanding how to protect information and work safely in virtual environments.
The course also focuses on workplace behaviours and values, preparing learners to contribute positively to professional environments.
Practical units will include incoming and outgoing telephone sales develop planning, communication, and customer engagement techniques, while contact centre customer service equips learners to meet customer needs, follow regulations, and handle queries effectively. This structured pathway ensures learners are job-ready for digital contact centre roles with strong technical, behavioural, and customer service skills.
Learner Commitment
- must provide NI number and ID
- must have access to either a laptop/ PC/ Tablet (with webcam)
- be available for the duration of the course, 9am – 5pm
- complete pre-course assessments and communicate effectively throughout enrolment and onboarding.
Back2Work Eligibility Criteria
- SYMCA learners must live in South Yorkshire post code
- born before 31/08/2006 (19+)
- be a UK resident on first day of learning
- unemployed and not studying any other courses
- not already hold the same qualification they are booking on to
- have a good level of English suitable to the role and learning
Successful learners will achieve an Award in Digital & IT Skills L2, Certificate in Digital Contact Centre Operations L1 and Award in Cyber Security L1.
The programme will prepare candidates for the Vodafone Inbound Customer Sales Advisor Role in Sheffield or Rotherham. More information in the document below.
