Applications are now open for the next cohort of the Fair Education Alliance’s Youth Steering Group (YSG).
The YSG brings together young people aged 14–21 to lead campaigns, influence education policy, and ensure young people’s voices are heard at the highest levels. In the last year alone, members have participated in a roundtable with the Prime Minister, presented to MPs in Parliament, and shaped policy with the Department for Education.
To be eligible, a young person must:
- Be aged 14–21 on 1 August 2026
- Live in England and have been to school, college, or university in England
- Be passionate about reducing inequality in education
- Have faced one or more barriers to a fair education
