Sheffield Theatres is holding an event on Thursday 18 October which will allow attendees to find out about the job opportunities that are available in the theatre. Visitors will be able to speak to some of the staff who work in the theatre, including backstage/technical staff, ushers and ticket sales advisors. They can also provide general insight into application writing and interview tips.
The team will be available from 6pm on the night right through to 7.30pm when a performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream will take place. Anyone attending the pre-show event is welcome to take up the offer of two complimentary tickets to see the show that evening. There will be drinks and a further chance to speak to Sheffield Theatres staff in the interval.
The event is design to be a fun and informal way to learn more about working in theatre for those who are currently looking for employment. Please note that to attend the event you must age 16 or older.
You can reserve a place by going to http://bit.ly/MeetTheTeamSheff and using the promocode ‘Meettheteam’.
Placing a reservation will automatically issue the same amount of tickets to the 7.30pm performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream on the same evening. Up to two tickets can be booked through the link, but group bookings can be made by contacting the Box Office directly on 0114 249 6000.
