My Life Project is an Alternative Provider who supports the personal, social and educational progress of children and young people using a range of Arts & Media.

My Life Project is currently looking for candidates to fill the positions of:

SERVICE MANAGER

We are looking to fulfil the role of managing and supporting our delivery staff alongside overseeing the day to day running of our Alternative Provision. Duties will include developing ways to enhance our personal, social and educational offer to children and young people with Special Educational Needs. The role will also require attending a range of meetings, liaising with multi agency services and sharing lead responsibility for safeguarding
children and young people.

Required:
• Management experience
• Experience of working with SEN children and young people or in a similar setting.
• Experience in dealing with safeguarding at advanced level
• Good written and verbal skills
• Efficient organisational skills
• Effective time management
• Experience in dealing with challenging behaviour
• Experience in dealing with conflict
• An understanding of SEN support needs including social, emotional mental health. SEMH
• An understanding of monitoring and managing progress of staff and young people using recording systems.
• Ability to manage own workload.

Qualifications:
• Level 4 or above Teaching/Youth Work or other
relevant qualification.
• Management training – Desirable

Salary:
£32.484 pro rata – 25 hours per week, 39 weeks per year,
term time only.

ARTS AND MEDIA TUTOR

We are looking to fulfil the role of working with and supporting the personal, social and educational progress of children and young people within a media focused framework. Duties will include direct work with students from mainstream and SEN schools and agencies. The role will also require planning, monitoring and report writing to ensure student needs are being met and are in alignment with accredited outcomes and PSHE learning.

Required:
• Experience of working with mainstream and SEN children & young people or in a similar setting.
• Experience in addressing challenging behaviour and dealing with conflict
• An understanding of SEN support needs including social, emotional mental health. SEMH
• Understanding of PSHE learning
• Understanding of dealing with safeguarding
• Ability to deliver group work and one to one teaching
• Ability to work within a team
• Ability to manage own workload.

Desirable:
• Knowledge of and ability for sound recording and musicproduction using software and mixing desk.
• Ability to use digital design software
Qualifications:
• Level 3 or above Teaching/Youth Work or other relevant qualification or prepared to undertake further training.
• Level 3 Music production – Desirable
Salary:
£24.336 pro rata – 25 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, term time only.
