Opportunity Sheffield, the employment and skills service in Sheffield City Council, is seeking to appoint an Apprentice Service Support & Marketing Officer to provide efficient and effective support to internal and external customers. The chosen candidate will undertake a Level 3 Marketing apprenticeship standard, delivered by an external Marketing Tutor.
This full-time role will provide business and marketing support to the Programme Manger and Contract Managers within the Council’s Employment Team, which designs, funds and commissions city-wide work and training activity in partnership with the private, voluntary and community sectors.
The apprentice will undertake a wide range of marketing tasks – including producing web content, researching case studies, designing promotional output, and supporting events – while monitoring and contributing to Opportunity Sheffield’s social media output.
We require a confident, creative and driven individual who is eager to learn about the field of employment support and wider Sheffield City Council activity while working towards an Advanced-level Marketing apprenticeship. Strong communication skills (written and oral), customer service skills and an interest in social media would be an advantage.
