BAME Apprenticeship Awards – nomination deadline 30 Apr

AELP is once again proud to support The BAME Apprenticeship Awards in partnership with Pearson celebrating the outstanding work and achievement of apprentices from Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic groups (BAME) and inspiring BAME apprentices to reach the pinnacles of success in their field.

The awards also raise the profile of determined employers and training providers who are forging paths for diversity, inclusion and equality in the workplace.

AELP have been supporting the awards since their inception 5 years ago and are really proud of all the work the awards have achieved in widening participation of people from BAME backgrounds in apprenticeships.

Following a year full of highs and lows, the awards will highlight some of the challenges apprentices have battled to overcome during the pandemic. Whether it be the challenges of navigating furlough or halted learning programmes, apprentices have fought hard to maintain their progression.

While diversity, inclusion and equality have by no means been fully realised in the realm of apprenticeships; developments and achievements are being made each day. These awards aim to support and augment this continual commitment to change. We are honoured to be a part of this movement; striving to create diversity amongst future leaders and ambassadors for apprenticeships.

Nominations are now open, with several industry specific categories for both apprentices and employers, as well as a specific award for Learning Providers. The deadline for nominations is Friday 30th April 2020.

The BAME Apprenticeship Awards categories that are open to both apprentices and employers are:
Accounting & Finance Management, Legal & Professional Services Health, Medical & Social Care Retail, Hospitality and Tourism Charity, Voluntary & Public Services Construction Services Engineering & Manufacturing Creative, Media & Marketing Digital & Technology Transport & Logistics
