Manor & Castle Development Trust (MCDT) Community Space held a Christmas Showcase Event for clients and other guests on Wednesday 8 December.
After the difficulties of the last 2 years we thought it would be nice to invite members of the community to come and share their thoughts, a mince pie and a hot drink with us.
This provided an opportunity for us to showcase our services and let people know what’s on offer at Community Space, Manor Park.

All our staff got into the spirit of things, and we had help from some medical students from Sheffield Uni who wanted to meet the people in our ward (pardon the pun!). They were out there in all weathers talking to people and local businesses informing them of what we do.
We had themed rooms to demonstrate to people what we do, which included our construction and workshop room hosted by our smiling elves Anita, Karen and Karine.

MCDT was visited by other organisations, the local community support officers and local business. Our Free raffle for a Christmas hamper helped, as did Anita’s presents of Christmas cups to entice people in.
We also had a Christmas wish tree that people could hang Christmas tags on saying what they wanted to see in the area and the kind of help they needed. These were gathered at the end of the day and everyone was contacted.
Despite the weather the day was success and enjoyed by all!
