We are offering an amazing opportunity of free places on a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification course running at our world class leisure facilities in Sheffield with the prospect of a contract as a Leisure Assistant (Lifeguard) with Sheffield City Trust on qualification.
It is a six day course, ordinarily costing £260 per person, covering all elements of Pool Rescue Techniques, Lifeguarding Theory, First Aid and CPR and is being offered free of charge to all candidates.
On successful completion of the course, candidates will receive the NPLQ qualification and will be guaranteed an interview for an available Leisure Assistant vacancy at one of our amazing venues.
Our Leisure Assistants are a key role within our venues, offering an ideal route into a career in Sport & Leisure with opportunities to develop within the sector. As a Real Living Wage employer we will be offering a competitive starting wage of £9.90 per hour, (currently £9.50) with regular ongoing training, as well as access to a range of great employee benefits.
The NPLQ course is scheduled to run for six consecutive days from Sunday 10 to Friday 15 April 2022 at Ponds Forge ISC so you will need to be available on all of those dates.
The course can be physically demanding and a competency test will be carried out in the pool before enrolment can be confirmed.
