Following the successful joint South Yorkshire LA bid to the European Social Fund, Sheffield City Council’s Opportunity Sheffield Team (the Employment and Skills Service of Sheffield City Council) is looking to recruit a Contract Manager to support the delivery of the Advancing Digital scheme.
Advance SCR & Advancing Digital are two separate initiatives proposed to drive the Sheffield skills agenda forward in the wake of the Covid-19 Pandemic and support both employers looking to grow and employees looking to retrain.
This post will form part of the core delivery team around the procurement, delivery and evaluation of contracts with learning providers. These learning opportunities will be advertised and evaluated, in order to meet the need being expressed by businesses for accredited aspects of training and development.
This will further the project aim of helping Sheffield based employers and helping them in accessing provision & funding to help their employees advance and their organisations become ever more productive and sustainable.
We are looking for someone with experience of and the ability to undertake effective contract management which drives successful engagement and achieves required outputs.
Awareness of the regional skills agenda and projects/schemes to support this agenda is an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided.
For informal discussion of this post please contact Robert Walker, Programme Manager, Advancing Digital.
