This week: Stakeholder consultation events for South Yorkshire’s Skills Strategy and Implementation Plan with SYMCA & Kada Research

Written by Roger Wilde, Senior Development Manager – Education, Skills and Employability, SYMCA

The development of South Yorkshire’s Skills Strategy and Implementation Plan by the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA) is underway.

Developing a skills strategy is an opportunity to secure better life outcomes for all residents across South Yorkshire. Investment in education, skills and employability will drive a change in the ambition, raise aspirations and transform the economic fortunes of South Yorkshire residents.

It is important this skills strategy works for all South Yorkshire and our stakeholder engagements aim to reflect this.

The SYMCA have commissioned Kada Research and the Growth Company to support the development of the Skills Strategy and Implementation Plan and they are facilitating the stakeholder consultation.

There are seven themed workshops based upon learner pathways and principles to shape the strategy (see details in table below).

The workshop’s focus has been derived in response to stakeholder feedback from an event on 20 July and will be an opportunity to explore the priorities for the Skills Strategy and Implementation Plan (SSIP).

The events will be an opportunity to aid the develop of South Yorkshire’s SSIP. We would like to see you there.

You might already have received an invite from Kada to sign up but we thought we would send a reminder to maximise attendance.

You are welcome to attend any of the workshops of most interest to you. You can find details of how to register for the event by clicking on the links within the table below.
