Advance Sheffield recruiting learners for Mental Health First Aider courses

Advance Sheffield have spaces available for learners for two accredited Mental Health First Aider Courses (MHFA) for March, May and July.

Advance Sheffield is a training programme offering a range of theory and practical courses. It works with a number of local training providers to offer fully or part-funded courses.

The two courses available are Mental Health First Aider and Mental Health Champion.

Mental Health First Aider is a one-day course, which covers:

• Spotting the early signs and symptoms of mental ill health

• how to support and listen to an individual experiencing mental health.

Mental Health Champion is a two-day course, which covers:

•         Defining mental health

•         recognising the main signs and symptoms of common mental health issues

•         developing an understanding of how to create and maintain a healthier workplace culture.
