SOHAS health and wellbeing training for managers

Not sure what to do when someone in your team is struggling with their health?

Sheffield Occupational Health Advisory Service (SOHAS) is offering a fully funded, practical training programme to help line managers feel more confident managing health and wellbeing at work.

Across five interactive, face-to-face sessions in Sheffield, you’ll learn how to:

  • Have supportive conversations about health
  • Recognise problems before they escalate
  • Understand reasonable adjustments and the Equality Act
  • Manage sickness absence and return to work
  • Recognise workplace stress
  • Know when to involve Occupational Health

You’ll also receive practical guides, templates and checklists that you can start using immediately.

There is no training fee for eligible small and medium-sized businesses, but places are limited. Attendees must be able to attend all five sessions to gain the full benefit of the programme.

  • Sheffield sessions start Friday 23 October
  • Doncaster sessions start Tuesday 3 November
  • Rotherham sessions start Tuesday 17 November

If you are interested in the Sheffield sessions, register your interest by Wednesday 14 October on the SOHAS website.

Once applications have been reviewed, the SOHAS team will contact you to confirm your place.
