PET-Xi Training is back at work and recruiting for its new Traineeship, which begins on Monday 7th January 2019.

As of Friday 4th January, there were 6 places left on the cohort – these will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
What is a Traineeship?
A Traineeship is a 12-week course designed to support young people into an apprenticeship/employment or further education.
Mon to Thurs
Work preparation training: focusing on CV-writing, confidence-building, interview prep and interpersonal skills, including preparation for sector-specific work placements. Plus ongoing 1:1 support in Functional Skills Maths and English up to L2 (if required)
Fri + Block weeks
As part of a Traineeship students will do a minimum of 100 hours on work placement, PET-Xi will work with students to choose the correct placement for them – this will be based on their sector choices and will be a quality work experience placement with live employers.
SUMMARY: (12WEEKS, 5DAYS) EMPLOYABILITY WORK PREP + LIVE WORK EXPERIENCE + MATHS & ENGLISH (if required) + PROGRESSION SUPPORT
Learners will receive a weekly Sheffield Travel pass from PET-Xi.
Eligible students will also receive a weekly bursary payment into their bank account to help them with lunch and other expenses. (This will not affect any other benefits they are in receipt of, it is additional to what they already receive as Traineeships are a government-backed initiative)
- 16-18 years old. (limited places for 19-year-olds)
- Not previously completed a Traineeship
- Does not currently hold any qualification at Level 3 or above
- Willing and looking for a sustained career/ training opportunity
