Age Better in Sheffield – a South Yorkshire Housing Association- led partnership which works to tackle loneliness and isolation for people aged 50 and over – is running free financial advice sessions.
Supported by SOAR and Citizens Advice, the benefits and financial drop-in is designed to help people make their money stretch further, understand budgeting and Universal Credit, among other topical issues.
A qualified benefits advice worker will be-on hand to offer guidance at the sessions, which will take place at Burngreave library (S4 7LG) every Thursday (10am-12pm) from 17th January 2019.
Group sessions based on themes including money management, energy-saving and cooking on a budget are also on offer.
